As of mid-August the Wild Duck Motel is under new ownership - a big welcome to Jim and Vera McClenaghan! I got the chance to meet Jim & Vera a couple of weekends ago, helping them learn how to use their new computer. It was fun as we all learnt new stuff - it was only my 2nd hour of being able to touch the new Windows Vista operating system. Quite the adventure for me trying to find out what Microsoft did with some of the functions in Control Panel, and trying to find simple stuff like Outlook Express which I now know is Windows Mail. Hairbusters salon moved from the Skeena Mall at least a month ago. They're now across the street in the mini mall, just down from Mr Mikes. And the clothing store that was in the Skeena Mall between Pennington's and Gemma's is gone?? If they've opened up elsewhere, please let me know... Branwyn's Closet has opened a store downtown in the old Elegance Fashions location, next to Trigos Fashions on Kalum Street. I stopped in last Saturday and checked it out. If your looking for metaphysical books, meditation CDs, Safada clothing, angelic gifts... stop by and have a look. It's my understanding that in the future there will also be henna tatoos, yoga classes and more!
