Rockslide May 28 2007
This rockslide/landslide occurred the morning of May 28 area on Highway 16 East at Legate Creek.
District Highways Manager Don Ramsey said the slide is up to 40 feet deep, and at least 150 feet wide, and contains rock, mud, top soil and tree trunks.
The slide is expected to close the highway for several days.
June 6th it was discovered that a vehicle had been buried in the slide. There were 2 fatalities.
