What's New
What's New?!
October 2008:
It's been awhile since I've posted in this section, but not for lack of news. The new social network NorthCoastBCOnline.ning.com is up and running. It's a free membership. Unfortunately, I can't link the accounts from this site to the Ning. But I encourage new members to use the same username. It's my hope in the next month or so to move the "Best of the North Coast" reviews to the social network - just waiting for the web developers to finish testing their plug-in software.
Tech support tells me that have some exciting new features coming out this winter. Can't wait to find out what! I'll let you know as soon as I do. Meanwhile there's been some updates to the real estate classifieds - looks much nicer!
March 2008:
Ok - it's not quite March yet. But I've got a big new feature I'm adding. Now visitors to the site can upload photos, videos and mp3s to the website's very own social networking section. I will be moving the photos that have been displaying in the Photo Gallery to this new community.
Stay tuned -
February 2008:
In January I sent out a newsletter that contained lists of active classified ads, and local business coupons. If you are signed up for the newsletter, please give me your input by voting in this poll. It will help me determine what you the reader would like for content.
New improvements to the site include:
- private messaging available between online users,
- video link now available for premium/realtor/dealership business directory listings,
- all business directory listings have the option to display for free, 30 day business card graphic in rotation on both the front page and the category pages in the business directory
- the left navigation menus are undergoing some design changes. While this is underway, there will be duplicate links in both blocks. Eventually all the links in the purple/blue menu will be transferred to the block above it.
- business listings have extra options for visitors - print out details, send listing link to a friend, bookmark this business
- auto sales listings now have an optional website link
- NorthCoast BC Online now has a profile on Facebook!
